Responsible party
Bookkeeping Services ZA, operated by Erica Woolcott, is responsible for personal information submitted through this website. Privacy questions and requests can be sent through the website's contact or guided-enquiry page, with “Privacy request” included in the message.
Information collected
The guided enquiry collects the contact details, business information, service needs, workload estimates, software choice, timing and notes you choose to provide. It also records consent, a reference number and limited technical information used to protect the form from abuse.
Why the information is used
Information is used to assess an enquiry, prepare an appropriate scope, respond using the selected method, protect the website, keep a record of consent and take steps towards providing the service you requested. It is not sold and is not used for unrelated marketing.
What this website does not collect
Do not submit accounting passwords, banking passwords, PINs, one-time codes, card security codes or private encryption keys. Access to cloud accounting should be granted through the platform's user-invitation feature. The public enquiry does not accept financial documents.
Documents and client onboarding
A suitable document-handover process is agreed only after the scope and engagement have been accepted. The public website is not a financial-document archive.
Service providers and storage
Enquiry data is stored using access-controlled website hosting and database infrastructure. Technical suppliers process information only as needed to operate and secure the service. Some infrastructure may process data outside South Africa subject to the supplier's safeguards and applicable data-protection requirements.
Retention and security
Enquiry information is kept only while it is reasonably needed for follow-up, service administration, security, record-keeping or a legal obligation. If an enquiry becomes a client engagement, relevant records may be retained for the period required for that service. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free.
Your choices
You may request confirmation of whether your information is held, access to it, correction of inaccurate information or deletion where there is no lawful reason to retain it. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw WhatsApp consent for future contact. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed.
